The Solar System that we live in contains the Sun, its eight planets orbitting and the other astronomical bodies that are under his gravitational force as the comets and the asteroids.

The comets originate Cloud of Oort and Belt of Kuiper, beyond Neptune, while most of the asteroids orbit in a region between March and Jupiter.

The mercury, Venus, the Earth and March - the four planets more close to the Sun - are called earthly planets because they have solid rocky surfaces. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune are known as the gas giants. Pluton, a planet naine, has a solid surface but a lot is more frozen than the earthly planets.

Our Solar System is just a system of star among a lot in the galaxy of milky Way. There are 300 billion stars in the milky Way and the closest, Centauri of Alpha, is 4.3 light years far. A light year is roughly 9,500 billion km, the distance traveled by the light in a year.

There is around 100 billion galaxies in our Universe. So far, person detected life outside our planet of house.
