Discover the Space - our Solar System
Act: 4.6 billion years
The Solar System that we live in contains the Sun, its eight planets orbitting and the other astronomical bodies that are under his gravitational force as the comets and the asteroids.
The comets originate Cloud of Oort and Belt of Kuiper, beyond Neptune, while most of the asteroids orbit in a region between March and Jupiter.
The mercury, Venus, the Earth and March - the four planets more close to the Sun - are called earthly planets because they have solid rocky surfaces. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune are known as the gas giants. Pluton, a planet naine, has a solid surface but a lot is more frozen than the earthly planets.
Our Solar System is just a system of star among a lot in the galaxy of milky Way. There are 300 billion stars in the milky Way and the closest, Centauri of Alpha, is 4.3 light years far. A light year is roughly 9,500 billion km, the distance traveled by the light in a year.
There is around 100 billion galaxies in our Universe. So far, person detected life outside our planet of house.
The people and Spaces
The university British did certain of the discoveries more important in the space history. And in Mister Isaac Newton, we produced maybe the scientist more important of the whole time.
The United Kingdom was so responsible of a good party of the innovative technology used in the today missions, and a lot of the experiences on them.
Nevertheless, because we help not currently to subsidize missions handled, only three born persons in the United Kingdom were in fact in the space. And two of those are American citizens.
I) In 1991 Helen Sharman became the first Breton in the space, when she participated in the Juno of Project of Soviet mission.
II) A year later, Michael Foale became the first man of born British in the space STS integrated-45. It was also the first Breton to complete a spatial walk.
Iii) The gives an award to in bronze went to the Salesmen of Quays, another citizen doubles, that participated in his first mission in 2002. The quays returned to space in the month of July 2006 integrated STS-121.
Iv) In December 2006, Nicholas Patrick became the fourth astronaut of born British in the space on counsel STS-116 Discovery.
